ABOUT US >>

Abergwili Angling Club was founded in 1980 specifically for the people from around the Abergwili area.
We love to host travelling anglers and have a great reputation for hospitality. We hold our meetings regularly in the Wheatsheaf public house in the heart of our pretty village.
We cater for every class of angler and pride ourselves on the vast experience that we possess. Our beats are fairly close to the sea, and some are tidal. So occasionally things can be very interesting to say the least.
We are friends with the excellent Emlyn Arms who are a great hostelry and a good place to stay.
We offer game fishing on the Rivers TOWY, GWILI and COTHI in Carmarthenshire.
We have the ever popular confluence pool between the Gwili and Towy in Abergwili and the Fosters beat upstream. We have also secured the excellent Wenallt beat on the Capel Dewi side of the Towy. We have Double bank fishing on the Gwili from the confluence up to Peniel bridge at Dolgwili. On the Cothi we have three beats Upton Hall, Rocks and Twin Pools.
